LYNDHURST, N.J.– Lyndhurst Mayor Robert Giangeruso presented a proclamation to Angelo's Ristorante , which is celebrating 50 years of business.

Angelo Piccirillo opened a small tavern on Freeman Street in 1952 before moving to 263 Ridge Road in 1966.

The establishment is run by Piccirillo's family.

"For over the past 50 years, the establishment of Angelo’s Ristorante continues to pride itself on the original menu that remains consistent to devoted customers for the enjoyment and quality of authentic Italian home cooking," Giangeruso said.

"My husband and I had our very first date there 26 years ago on July 21, 1990," said Kim Muro. "We are married just shy of 25 years. We try to go back each anniversary and ask for the same table in the back left corner."
