Breakfast Meetings In Lyndhurst For Diabetics, Seniors

LYNDHURST, N.J. — Two special breakfast programs for Lyndhurst residents are coming up in November.

Lyndhurst is hosting community breakfasts Nov.13 and 22. The Nov. 13 program focuses on holiday eating for diabetics, while the Nov. 22 event is a breakfast party for seniors.

The Health Department will have a breakfast seminar for diabetics and other interested people Friday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m.

“Diabetic Holiday Eating” will be presented by Julie Harrington, registered dietician at Inserra ShopRite. The breakfast is in the Recreation Room at 601 Riverside Avenue; call (201) 804-2500 to register.

The Department of Parks & Recreation will host a breakfast for township senior citizens Sunday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Senior Citizen Center, Cleveland Ave.

Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and breakfast will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call the Parks Department at (201) 804-2482 in advance to sign up.
