LYNDHURST, N.J. — Lyndhurst will hold this month's free, children's health clinic at the Health Department on Dec. 9.
The clinic runs on the second Wednesday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon.
"A nurse practitioner will come in, do a health screening, and give the mandated vaccinations," Lyndhurst Health Coordinator Kristin Collette said.
The federally funded program is for all children up to the age of 18 who are uninsured and medicaid eligible.
The clinic includes a height and weight check as well as examinations of the eyes, ears, lungs, and heart. Children also receive all necessary vaccinations required by the school district.
Collette says the clinic screens a handful of kids each month of all ages.
Call the health department in advance at (201) 804-2500 to register your child for the health screening / vaccinations. The clinic is located at 601 Riverside Avenue, Suite 1, in Lyndhurst.
