The Fire Department teamed up with Queen of Piece Food Pantry to collect goods along the parade route that will benefit needy residents in North Arlington this holiday season.

"I think we filled the pantry up in one day," says North Arlington Assistant Fire Chief Brian FitzHenry on the success of this years parade. "We had three full pickup trucks loaded with food and it was still overflowing."

FitzHenry says he is proud of the volunteer fire department for the success of the food drive, and only expects it to get bigger in the years to come.

"Vounteer firemen are all the same. They just do it because they like to help," FitzHenry said. "This has become a tradition, and I expect to keep getting better next year."
