LYNDHURST, N.J. — VIP Fitness in Lyndhurst is seeking determined individuals to take part in a challenging six-week program aimed at helping them achieve and sustain their fitness goals.

The fitness center will buy a three day, two night vacation for anyone who succeeds in taking the "Ultimate Transformation Challenge."

The program starts January 18. There are still 15 of 25 spots available.

"We are transformation specialists and we hang our hat on what we do," VIP Fitness Owner Tony Gomez said.

"If you follow our instructions and do what we tell you there is no reason you won’t get the the results you want."

Gomez told Daily Voice he has already purchased 25 vacation vouchers, and is confident he will be handing them out to 25 healthy clients come March.

Applicants must apply and be screened by the VIP Fitness trainers beforehand.

"We are looking for people who really want to make a change in their life," Gomez said.

"Nobody can really want it for them. It is an intrinsic switch that has to be flipped only by them. If they are in that state of mind then we want to talk to them."

Everyone who is accepted into the program will be given a unique fitness goal and a custom regiment to achieve that goal within 42 days.

Participants will also get a custom meal plan catered to their lifestyle, and an "accountability coach" who will train them and provide support and guidance.

Gomez said this approach is more effective when it comes to getting in shape and staying in shape.

"It is going to be a very safe and effective way to do this, but it is also going to be challenging," Gomez said.

"The idea is creating something sustainable so people can experience it for the rest of their lives."

As for the free vacation, Gomez said people who get in shape should have something to reward themselves with "other than a pint of ice cream."
