GoFundMe Aids Family Of Woman Killed In East Rutherford Attack

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — More than $3,700 had been raised as of Sunday morning on a GoFundMe account for the family of Monet Thomas, who was killed after being attacked while walking her dog in East Rutherford.

The campaign was launched by Kelly Ries of Little Ferry.

Thomas, 25 of Kearny, was visiting her boyfriend on Dec. 17, when he found her lying unresponsive on the first floor of her attacker's apartment, a source with direct knowledge of the incident told Daily Voice.

The victim was on life support, but succumbed to her injuries three days after Christmas.
