Happy Birthday To Olympic Skater Johnny Weir, Of Lyndhurst

LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Happy birthday to professional skater Johnny Weir, of Lyndhurst. He'll turn 32 this Saturday, July 2.

Weir was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Delaware to train, when he was 12. He moved to Lyndhurst in 2007, to be close to a new training facility, in Wayne.

He won gold at three U.S. Championships, bronze at a World Championship, and has competed in two Olympics, placing fifth and sixth. He retired from competitive skating in 2013.

Weir has covered a variety of events, including Super Bowl XLIX, the red carpet of the 2014 Academy Awards and the Sochi Winter Olympics -- and he'll be covering the 2016 Olympics in Rio for NBC this summer.
