Bids Due Soon For North Arlington Porete Avenue Redevelopment

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- More than 12 commercial real estate firms have inquired of officials about reviving Porete Avenue, according to NorthJersey.com.

The blighted site on the east part of North Arlington, near the Belleville Pike is rife with dust and potholes, and has old and outdated industrial buildings, according to NorthJersey.com.

Private developers are devising proposals to improve the location, NorthJersey.com reported.

A public statement was posted on the borough's website giving notice that qualification statements from professional services contracts are being accepted, with a submission deadline of 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.
