LYNDHURST, N.J.– Lyndhurst High School is commemorating the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11 with an art installation and set-up a GoFundMe site to raise the necessary funds.

Lyndhurst Waves is an installation of 2,977 flags representing each individual lost that day.

It was inspired by a similar display at Pepperdine University in California.

Lyndhurst High School students will be involved in the installation, maintenance and removal of the project.

The LHS Student Government is raising the necessary funds and coordinating this comprehensive initiative.

Educators involved in the project think this will be an impactful lesson to students, many of which were only infants at the time of this event in history.
