LITTLE FALLS, N.J. — Two Passaic County sheriff's officers teamed up yet again to save a choking victim at a Little Falls diner Monday, NorthJersey.com reports.
Retired Capt. Lori Mambelli and her husband, Sgt. Javier Custodio, were having brunch at Park West Diner on Route 46 when they heard someone behind them yelling for assistance in the Heimlich maneuver, the article says.
The couple jumped out of their seats to help the choking diner employee, with Custodio performing the maneuver and Mambelli making sure the lodged food became free from the man's throat, the article says.
