Woodcrest Properties LLC purchased the long-vacant Ridge Lumber property and is building a luxury apartment coplex with 30 upscale one-bedroom units and 28 off-site parking spaces.

"We are 100 percent behind this project," Mayor Joseph Bianchi said. "As a small town, taxes play a big part. This project bring in nice ratables for our town."

The new development is located at 239-241 Ridge Road and is part of a redevelopment project of the thoroughfare.

"Everybody here had a special part in helping us get this underway, especially the mayor and council, who are very pro-development," said Michael Golas, one of three co-owners – along with Jim Given and Paul Fine – of the new project. "The town is really moving forward."

The monthly rent is expected to cost $1,600 to $1,700 per month.

"Anything we can do to make this project go smoother, we're here for you," Bianchi said. "It's a beautiful project."

Boiling Springs Savings Bank is financing the project.

Better Homes & Gardens Coccia Realty has been selected as the exclusive broker to market the units, which will be ready for occupancy in the summer of 2017.
