FAIR LAWN, N.J. — The construction of a proposed QuickChek is being protested by Fair Lawn neighbors, saying the convenience store would create chaos in the area, NorthJersey.com reports.

The project that includes a store, parking lot and gas station was proposed last month at 16-00 River Road, the site of a former TD Bank.

The exit of the project would be right in front of neighbors' driveways, making exiting their homes nearly impossible, one told Daily Voice Thursday morning.

The project requires a number of variances, and has neighbors and merchants worried about the QuickChek affecting the values of their home, and causing noise, trash and traffic, NorthJersey.com says.
