NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Christina M. O’Connor, a resident of North Arlington, formerly of Jersey City, died Sunday, May 1. She was 91.
She received her nursing degree from Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing in 1945 and worked at the medical center as a registered nurse for many years.
She is survived by her children, James O'Connor and his wife, Jeanne, Dennis O'Connor and his wife, Kathie, Mary Ellen O'Connor, Kevin O'Connor, Christina Hernandez and her husband, Armando, Peggy Petrucelli and her husband, Vic; daughter-in-law, Yvette O’Connor; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Joseph O’Connor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew J. O’Connor; and a son, Andrew O’Connor.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m., at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
