NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- David T. Paine, 71, died at his home on Monday, Dec. 14, in North Arlington.
Born in East Orange he lived in North Arlington for the past 40 years.
Paine worked as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service in Jersey City for 40 years before retiring in 2008.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was an avid runner who also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was the husband of Arlene (nee Capotosto); the father of David M. Paine and his wife Dina, Christine Kirkland and her husband John; the grandfather of Anthony, Ella, Olivia and Alex; and the brother of Wesley Paine, Gail Hughes and Paul Paine.
The funeral will be at 10:15 a.m. Friday at Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington, followed by an 11:15 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington.
Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
