WALLINGTON, N.J. — Dorothy M. Miraglia, of Wallington, died July 18. She was 81.
She was born Sept 8, 1934, in Queens, N.Y., to Dora and Peter Devlin. As a young child she was taken to be raised in Vermont, returning to Queens years later.
In 1982 she came to live in Wallington. She had worked for the Bank of New York in Manhattan for more than 20 years as a manager of food services. Miraglia enjoyed bowling, country dancing and her word find puzzles. However, nothing could compare to the enjoyment she got from sitting on a porch in Phoenicia, N.Y. surrounded by the majestic mountains and clean air.
Miraglia also was active in the Wallington Seniors and enjoyed picking the numbers for bingo.
She is survived by four daughters, Paula (Richard) Mungeer, Dorothy (Peter - predeceased) Giambrone, Rosanne (Barry) Shapiro, Joanne (Joe) Rubba; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. She also had one brother, John Devlin.
Visiting hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington. A funeral service will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. A private cremation will follow.
Contributions in her memory to the Wallington Emergency Squad would be appreciated.
