NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Helen Beute, 93, of North Arlington, died Sunday, Sept. 18.
She was born Jan. 3, 1923, in Jersey City.
She worked for the North Arlington Board of Education as a switchboard operator for nine years before retiring in 1988. Earlier, she worked as a secretary for American Home Products in New York City for 10 years.
She was a member of the Rosary Society of Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington and the New Jersey Education Association.
She was predeceased by her husband, Christopher A. Beute.
She is survived by her children, Christopher A. Beute, Rosemary Young and her husband Elien and Dr. Bernard J. Beute; and her grandchildren, William, Christopher and John Beute.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington, thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 10 Franklin Place, North Arlington for a 10 a.m. funeral Mass. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
