NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Lucy C. Barbero, 96, formerly of North Arlington, died Monday, Oct. 3.
She was born Oct. 2, 1920, in Hoboken and lived in Newark and North Arlington before moving to Lakewood three years ago.
She worked as an inspector foe Western Electric in Kearny for 32 years before retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Barbero.
She is survived by her sister, Constance Lombardi and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral at 10 a.m. Friday at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington, thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
