NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Maureen (Izzo) Kromphold, of North Arlington, died on Monday, June 13. She was 72.
Born in Hoboken, Kromphold lived in Jersey City before moving to North Arlington in 1999. She worked in the Security Department for the Jersey City Board of Education for 25 years. She retired from Public School No. 8 four years ago.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Amati and his wife Allison, and Joseph Amati and his wife Lori; 10 grandchildren; sisters Patricia Radzik and Arlene Coff; and many nieces and nephews.
Kromphold was predeceased by her husband, Gerard Kromphold, and her siblings, Emma Browder, Elizabeth Fleming, Roseanne Such, Joan Napolitano, Joan Balbach, Salvatore Izzo, Dolores De'Alessi and Michael Izzo.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., in North Arlington. The funeral will be from the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Friday, thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, in North Arlington, for an 11 a.m. funeral mass.
