Wieslaw Wierzbowski, 74, Of Wallington

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- Wieslaw Wierzbowski, a resident of Wallington, died Friday, May 13. He was 74.

Born July 30, 1941, in Wilno, Poland, he was the son of Waclaw and Wiktoria Wierzbowski.

While in Poland, he had been an officer in the Polish merchant marine. He came to the United States in the early 1970s, settled in Wallington in 1980 and last worked as a machinist mechanic for Lea & Perrins in Garfield.

He is survived by his wife, Alina; and his son, Alex, and his wife, Izabela.

Visiting will be Monday, May 16, from 7-9 p.m. at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington. A private cremation will follow on Tuesday, May 17.
