"At this point, the body has been there so long, we won't for sure what we have until the Medical Examiner does an autopsy," Police Chief Dean Ackermann told Daily Voice.

Although foul play wasn't suspected (there were no obvious signs of trauma, for instance), "only an autopsy will tell for sure," the chief said.

Responders who found the body just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday belive it had been there for upwards of a week.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence. The county prosecutor's office -- which investigates homicides and suspicious deaths -- wasn't required.

Detectives Tuesday afternoon were trying to find next of kin, although law enforcement sources confirmed it was Vincent Marino, who has had several addresses and earlier this summer was arrested in the camper on drug charges.

Authorities said they found a brick of heroin, drug paraphernalia and $10,000 in cash when they raided the vehicle -- which was parked then, as now -- outside the Lincoln Street address.

Marino spent a month and a day in the Passaic County Jail before a judge released him on Aug. 28, pending further court action, under New Jersey's 2017 Bail Reform & Speedy Trial Act.
