Elmwood Park police charge Wallington man, 19, caught with girl, 16, heroin with child endangerment

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 19-year-old Wallington man whom Elmwood Park police said had a 16-year-old Lodi girl in his car when he was caught with heroin last night was charged with child endangerment and drug possession.

Grzegorz Kociubinski, 19 was also carrying a small amount of marijuana when he and the girl were taken into custody at 5 p.m. on Stone Avenue, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.

Police also signed a juvenile complaint against the girl, who was released to an adult relative, the chief said.

Both she and Kocubinski were released pending court hearings.

In other incidents yesterday, Elmwood Park police arrested 22-year-old Jordan Russo of Newark, DE, for having 22 bags of heroin and a syringe when police caught him in the parking lot of the Pathmark on Broadway at 9:15 last night, Foligno said.

They also charged Mark Pereira, 21, of Elmwood Park with marijuana possession after sopping him on River Drive at 12:30 a.m. yesterday, the chief said.

Both men were released on court summonses.
