Sean D. Slattery, 35, lied to detectives “and was the person who used the Internet to create the alarming and harassing messages, which were designed to appear as if the sender was someone else,” and sent them to himself and the 24-year-old victim, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said.

Slattery was charged with stalking and cyber-harassment and released pending an April 4 appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
