Lyndhurst Man, 46, Killed By Train

The Main Line train was moving equipment to Suffern and had no customers aboard when it struck Joseph Gasior near Orient Way at 5:25 a.m., NJ Transit reported.

The train had left Hoboken 20 minutes earlier, spokesman Jim Smith said.

Service was suspended both ways between Glen Rock and Hoboken for an hour and 20 minutes, Smith said.

Gasior, who was engaged to be married, worked for American Steel Fabricators, Inc.
