The Plymouth Voyager was in the middle of the southbound lanes near Exit 82 in Toms River -- either moving very slowly or stopped -- when it was struck by a Harley-Davidson driven by Frank Stetz just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, State Police said over the weekend.

Responding troopers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, they said, adding that an investigation was continuing.

Local sources told Daily Voice that the driver was with another Bergen County teen who attends Pascack Valley High School.

Stetz, a 46-year-old construction worker, had been with Wallington's all-volunteer fire department the past 17 years.

His funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church on Paterson Avenue in Wallington.

Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington.
