Wallington Police: Detective Finds Pot On Wanted East Rutherford Man

WALLINGTON, N.J. -- An East Rutherford man wanted on an outstanding warrant was carrying three sandwich bags filled with pot when he was arrested by a Wallington police detective, authorities said.

Detective Lt. Shawn Kudlacik grabbed Johnathan Montanez, 24, after spotting him in the area of Wallington Avenue and Parkway last Thursday afternoon, Police Chief Carmello Imbruglia said Tuesday.

Montanez was charged with possession of more than an ounce of marijuana and released on a court summons.
