WALLINGTON, N.J. — A dog who got carried away in the tide chasing geese was returned unharmed to his owners thanks to the Wallington Fire Department Emergency Squad.
SCUBA 208 and Marine 208 responded to Lester Street Emergency Boat Ramp where a borough resident’s dog was swimming in the river trying to chase geese on Wednesday, the squad said in a Facebook post.
Responders launched Marine 208 and located the dog, Lukas, near the Gregory Avenue Bridge, the post says.
Lukas was brought back to shore and returned unharmed to his owners, responders said on Facebook.
