Lyndhurst's Memorial School Encourages Literacy Through Read-a-thon

LYNDHURST, N.J -- Lyndhurst Memorial School is hosting a Read-A-Thon through the end of November in an effort to make reading more fun and exciting for students.

The Read-A-Thon is a fundraising effort where family and friends of students can pledge to pay for each page the student reads.

All of the proceeds will go to the school and students.

"This year one of our initiatives is to provide technology upgrades and resources to create even more engaging and fun lessons for our students," according to a release from Memorial School.

The Read-A-Thon will run through Nov. 24 and include students in grade 3.
