The independent organization consisting of QPHS alumni had raised more than $144,800 as of Monday evening on a GoFundMe page.

The school’s newly-installed administration has reduced next year's school deficit by 50 percent through responsible budget reductions and improving efficiencies, the page says.

A 3 to 5 year plan be installed to eliminate any structural deficits, introduce new programs, enhance enrollment and set the school on a course for future success, according to the GoFundMe site.

"As the financial challenges are stabilized, the school intends to rebuild, prosper and grow into an educational institution of greatness," the page says.

"Positive change has just arrived, there is still much work to be done, and we are confident the future course of Queen of Peace High School is being set on firm ground."
