"The league is ideal for youngsters who want to get involved with hockey but don't have the time or resources to commit to playing ice hockey," said Vincent Auteri.
The league is broken down into three divisions: Mites (kindergarten through second grade), Midgets (third through fifth grade) and Juniors (sixth through eighth grade). The cost is $30 for the Mites and $55 for Midgets and Juniors. There's a $30 cost for each additional sibling.

"Each team will play two games a week and, if the weather permits, the season is complete well before the holidays," Auteri said. "We also limit activity on the weekends to make it less taxing on parents and guardians."
Players in the league are from Lyndhurst, Rutherford, North Arlington and Kearny, Auteri said.
