LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Mayor Robert B. Giangeruso and the Lyndhurst Health Department will be partnering with Clara Maass Medical Center to bring the Wellness Assessment Van for Elders -- or WAVE -- back to the Carucci Senior Building, on Tuesday, May 10.
The WAVE program brings preventive health care directly to seniors. Experienced Clara Maass physicians and nurse practitioners, passionate about the health and well-being of people ages 65 and older, will perform physical and cognitive exams and basic health screenings. Each participant will receive a report, with detailed wellness and preventive health advice.
This service is provided at no cost to Medicare-eligible seniors.
WAVE will be at the senior center, located at 281 Stuyvesant Ave., from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. For more information or to make an appointment, call the Lyndhurst Health Department at 201-804-2500.
