Charles C. Dimler, 81, Of North Arlington

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Charles C. Dimler, of North Arlington, died Aug. 1. He was 81. 

Born April 6, 1935, in Newark, he was a lifelong resident of North Arlington. 

Before retiring 18 years ago, he worked as a heavy machine operator with the Operating Engineers Union. He was a volunteer fireman with the North Arlington Fire Department, Eagle Truck Co, #3 for the past 50 years. 

He is survived by his children Donna Trott (Mitchell), Laurie Delcalzo (John Cribbin), Daniel C. Dimler (Claire) and Charles W. Dimler; grandchildren Trevor, Matt, Erik, Chris, Mallory, Brittany and Daniel Jr.; great-grandchildren Jakob and Samantha; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington. There will be a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 10 Franklin Place, North Arlington. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
