SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Jane Marie (Szymialowicz ) Botelho -- a Kearny resident, formerly of Lyndhurst and Passaic -- died on Sunday, May 29, at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River. She was 63.
Born in Jersey City, Botelho lived in Lyndhurst and Passaic before moving to Kearny in 1997. She received her teaching degree in 1974 from Jersey City State College. She has worked at Kearny Christian Academy as an administrator and a math and biology teacher for the past 30 years.
Kearney was an active parishioner at City of Hope International Church in Kearny for 40 years and was a member of both its women's group and prayer team.
She is survived by her children, Kristin Lima, Ronald Botelho and his husband Anthony Guttilla, and Cheryl Jean Botelho; grandchildren Joshua and Tyler Lima; and siblings Paul Szymialowicz, Martin Simms and Bill Szymialowicz.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, June 1-2, at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., in North Arlington. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at City of Hope International Church, 22 Wilson Ave., Kearny. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, in North Arlington.
