NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Stanley R. Krause, a lifelong resident of North Arlington, died Friday, May 20. He was 74.
He was a self-employed music producer and the owner of Catamount Records and the Square Record Store in Jersey City. He was a member of the McGinley Square Merchants Association in Jersey City and in 2015, he received a proclamation from the mayor of Jersey City for his 50-year anniversary of being a business owner that honored him with a resolution proclaiming Krause "Stan the Music Man of Jersey City." In 2016, he was honored with the Jersey City Living Legend Award for his contributions to the field of music.
He is survived by his wife, Ewa; son, Stanley F. Krause; sister, Lottie Foster of California; and many nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his mother, Lottie.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington. The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. and it will be offered by Minister Earl C. Hardy Jr.
