WALLINGTON, N.J. -- A 56-year-old bicyclist from East Rutherford who was struck in Wallington early Friday was hospitalized with serious injuries, authorities said.
The injuries were serious enough that the Bergen County prosecutor's Fatal Accident Investigation Unit responded and conducted a full investigation, they said.
The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center after being struck at the corner of Paterson and Curie avenues just before 9 a.m. by a vehicle driven by a 50-something New York man, Capt. Shawn Kudlacik told Daily Voice.
No summonses were immediately issued, he said.
An investigation was continuing.
