Matthew H. Cabrita, 26, of Bloomfield, was being watched when authorities stopped his car Wednesday and found the coke, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Friday.

They found the cash, along with the pot, several hundred THC vapor pens and a vacuum sealer and bags in his apartment, the prosecutor said.

The total value over the drugs, he said, was in the area of $100,000.

Cabrita was being held in the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on various drug and money laundering charges.

Grewal thanked police from Emerson, Garfield and Wallington, along with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Bloomfield police, for their roles in the investigation, arrest and seizures.
