New Wallington Mayor Aims To Take Down Illegal Apartments

WALLINGTON, N.J. — The new Wallington mayor is cracking down on a illegal apartments, a problem that’s plagued the borough for over 20 years, reports northjersey.com.

Tomko, an 18-year councilman, said his predecessor, Walter Wargacki, had offered amnesty to landlords in 1996, freeing them from borough fines for renting space illegally, according to northjersey.com.

The new mayor wants to starts a parking permit program and share information among different officials and departments in order to order to pinpoint who lives where, reports northjersey.com.
