The side streets next to the schools where kids get picked up and dropped off are still snow covered and hazardous, according to Board of Education President George McDermott.

DPW is working with the board of education to get the streets cleared, and McDermott anticipates school will be open again on Wednesday.

Over the weekend, Mayor Joseph Bianchi declared a state of emergency in North Arlington as the town was battered with over two feet of snow.
