North Arlington Starz Cheerleaders Win Recreation Championship

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Mayor Joseph Bianchi and the council presented the North Arlington Starz Cheerleaders with a proclamation June 9 for placing first in their division at the national competition at Virginia Beach.

The team is led by head coach Erin Lewis and directors Michele Stirone and Marisa Ryan.

The NJCDCA 2016 Recreation State Champions team are: Gerardo Baez, Lindsey Johnstone, Melina Beltran, Gabriella Kaminski, Alyssa Buccheri, Cristina Palacios, Gabriela Fontes, Alexa Paparelli, Nicolle Gongora, Crysta Marie Pietronico, Alyssa Gonzalez, Alexus Romano, Emily Greenmeier, Grayson Ryan, Alyssa Heinzmann, Gianna Stirone, Kaitlyn Hernandez, Elisabeth Thomas, Cayla Marie Huerta, Sofia Timur, Alia Jaggassar and Angelina Torres.
