Area residents should keep that in mind late Thursday afternoon into the early evening as a cold front passing through could bring thunderstorms accompanied by potentially damaging winds with large hail also possible, the National Weather Service says.

The time frame for the potential for severe weather is between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Some sunshine Thursday morning will give way to clouds before the thunderstorm chance starts later in the afternoon. The high temperature will be around 70 degrees.

Friday will be partly sunny and pleasant with a high in the upper-60s.
