Man Rescued After Saving Service Dog On Long Island A 34-year-old man was rescued on Long Island after he got stuck while saving his service dog from the same fate. The incident occurred on Sunday, May 12 in Oyster Bay. Nassau County Police reported that a man, 34, was walking his service dog near the water just before 8:30 p.m. when the dog went into the water for a swim. However, during the swim, the pup got stuck underneath a dock and began to struggle.
